Do you love videogames? Can you piece together a cohesive thought with your writing? If you can create thought provoking, insightful and entertaining content, we want to hear from you.
Pixelitis is looking for young and enterprising reporters with an interest in covering breaking news in the gaming industry.
The ideal candidate would be providing a fresh take on games and be well-versed in terms of news and where to look for untapped sources of information – outside of the traditional repurposing of news blogs from established media sources, such as places like NeoGAF, Twitter and other forums. Candidates should also be comfortable dealing with WordPress and social media integration.
They would be joining a staff of full-time reporters whose freelance project is Pixelitis.
This position is unpaid, but there will be the opportunity to review free games, network with other industry professionals and garner a decent set of clips. Depending on performance, the writer may be asked to cover conventions as part of the Pixelitis team.
Recent college graduates or college seniors are encouraged to apply. We ask that all candidates provide a minimum of at least 6 to 8 hours a week to cover news and research games.
Interested candidates should send a short cover letter and two concise writing samples to email@example.com.
