Video Games Live to kickstart a third album

Tommy Tallarico is at it again, this time with a Kickstarter project. The videogame composer and mastermind behind Video Games Live has announced the making of a third album entitled “Video Games Live: Level 3.”

The Kickstarter campaign, with about 11 days left, is looking to raise $250,000 to make an orchestral studio recording of a smattering of other well-known but lesser played videogame soundtracks. A few of the soundtracks being thrown around include Shadow of the Colossus, BioShock, Beyond Good & Evil, Katamari Damacy and Red Dead Redemption.

Pending publisher approval, the collection of 15 to 18 tracks will be available digitally to backers who donate a minimum of $5. The tiered rewards include a few goodies such as a Journey piano composition album by Austin Wintory and hand-drawn digital posters.

As of this writing, the Kickstarter has raised $143,788.
