Unique Sony auction lets you “bid for greatness”

Bid for greatness

We’ve all been there at one point or another. Staring at a screen, trying to figure out exactly how that article of clothing works or just admiring it’s awesomeness. Well, now, apparently in a unique bidding war, Sony will auction off select clothing items and costumes from their live-action Greatness Awaits trailer from E3 2013.

Titled,“Bid for Greatness” Sony’s unique auction will not involve bidding with money – instead, you bid with your hard earned gold trophies.

From July 16 to July 30, gamers can bid on items such as the clicker costume from The Last of Us, Dragonborn weaponry from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Delsin Rowe’s outfit from Infamous: Second Son and much more. If you’re planning on cosplaying a videogame character, or are an avid collector of videogame swag, this would be a good way to start.

The auction is open for United-States residents only, which made this Canadian very sad. Give us a chance to participate. It’s not like there’s a big ocean dividing us apart.

This opportunity for Sony to get rid of their props while making gamers happy is a great idea that I hope sparks up ideas for other companies to make their own unique giveaways.
