Role-playing classic out now for Android devices

If you were like me growing up, the Super Nintendo was far out of your reach. As a Sega kid, things were either blue and fast or it was nothing at all, which led to me missing out on many of games’ very best in role-playing games.

Though some are more readily available than others, one game that’s always eluded me was the Akira Toriyama-styled RPG, Chrono Trigger.

Luckily, I can experience a story of love, loss and temporal shifts on my Galaxy Nexus, as the SNES classic is now available on Google Play. This new version naturally includes touchscreen controls, as well as the two new areas that were added in the Nintendo DS re-release, for $9.99.

The only requirement is that your Android device is currently running Froyo (Android 2.2) or better. Considering only the latest phones and tablets are now running Jelly Bean (Android 4.2), that pretty much means everyone can take a trip back in time.
