Preorders open up for North American Muramasa Vita release

A website has opened up for a localized Vita version of Muramasa: The Demon Blade, which means that Japan’s not the only one getting the prettied-up Vanillaware Action RPG.

The game will be released in North America as Muramasa Rebirth. On the game’s Amazon page, the release date is listed as June 25, 2013. Japan will be getting it a little earlier on Mar. 28.

In an official announcement on its website, publisher Aksys Games revealed that Rebirth will feature a complete relocalization in English and enhanced controls (most likely touch-based ones). Like the original, players can go through two different scenarios – one involving the possessed Princess Momohime and the other Kisuke, an amnesiac ninja. Four new scenarios involving different characters have been confirmed as DLC.

The original Wii release of Muramasa was considered one of the prettiest-looking games on the Wii. I can’t even imagine how pretty this title’s artwork will look on the Vita’s OLED screen. Preorders for the game are currently available through Amazon and Gamestop, so get crackin’.
