A visually pleasing store is the first step when it comes to attracting online customers. With over two years of feedback and insight, Sony has listened and crafted a store that looks both attractive and accessible.
After being delayed due to a glitch in which virtual funds could not be added in the European version of the store, the redesign is finally live in North America. In a blog entry on the U.S. PlayStation Blog, Product Development Manager Elliott Dumville said of the new look:
So, what’s new? Almost everything! We’ve still got all the latest and greatest games and DLC for PlayStation 3, PS Vita and PSP. The biggest changes are to do with how you find the stuff you want. Whether you’re looking for the latest AAA release or a PSOne Classic, it’s now so much quicker and easier.
The redesign adds plenty of nice visual elements, but also adds useful filters and search options to narrow down what you are looking for. Now it doesn’t take hours of scrolling down and awkward searching to find that specific game you were looking for.
