Haven’t had enough of your brain completely messed with after finishing the surreal PC action game Hotline Miami? There’s more on the way in the form of a sequel.
The reveal of Hotline Miami 2 was done by creator Jonatan “Cactus” Söderström, who took to Twitter to mention that music for the sequel had been recently created.
Regarding the sequel’s soundtrack, he said “Music wise I’m not sure for the second game yet. Last time we had nine different musicians doing the soundtrack. Looks like a couple of them might do more tracks for the sequel, but we’ve been looking at some other bands as well. Want to keep it fresh.”
Söderström originally told Eurogamer in an interview that Hotline Miami was to receive DLC that would be around the same length as the original game. Given that this DLC has grown into a bigger project, he went on to explain that it “feels reasonable to release it as a full game rather than a DLC.”
The sequel is still a long way from completion, as developer Dennaton Games is still looking into patching the first game, which still has a few bugs, particularly when using Steamworks.
