GTA V companion app released for Android

Weeks after the release of Grand Theft Auto V and the companion iFruit app for iOS, the Android version has finally made its way to the Google Play marketplace.

As previously reported, the iFruit app allows players to customize in-game vehicles in Los Santos Customs and interact with Franklin’s Rottweiler, Chop.

In the Los Santos Customs section of the app, users can personalize and upgrade their cars for use in both GTA V and GTA Online. The app also works while playing the game, allowing players to order a car exactly to their specifications from the type of rims on the wheels to custom body armor.

As for Chop’s section, aptly titled Chop the Dog, players get to take care of Franklin’s buddy, Tamagotchi-style. Players will be able to play with the dog, teach him tricks or helping him in “protecting the beach babes of Los Santos from unsightly tanlines by removing their bikinis.”

It’s nice to know that I’ll be finally able to train Chop without having to walk him in-game. Maybe he can finally stop crapping all over my swanky apartment. Jeez.
