Fumito Ueda says The Last Guardian still alive and kicking

It’s been quite some time since any solid news regarding The Last Guardian’s development was in circulation, leaving many to wonder if the game was even coming at all.

In an effort to assuage those concerns, Fumito Ueda, the director of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus took to the internet to confirm his plans to keep working on the game as a freelancer.

According to his website, the project remains under Ueda’s supervision and is still in development, but the game’s release is completely dependent upon Sony Computer Entertainment. He does tell us to keep an eye out for an official release, which might hint that some official information will be available soon.

Hopefully this means The Last Guardian wont be long in being released, but with the long wait fans have endured so far, they’ll probably have to wait longer still.
