Fire Emblem: Awakening has English and Japanese voiceovers

When it comes to watching Japanese animes, the decision of watching them with subtitles versus english dubs comes up often. I know plenty of people that will only watch their animes with subtitles because it “preserves the original experience”. This experience can also be translated to videogames.

Much like a localized Japanese anime, Fire Emblem: Awakening gives players the choice between English and Japanese voices. The only other game Nintendo released with this option in recent history was Xenoblade Chronicles.

Siliconera has confirmed the availability of this option with an early copy they received from Nintendo. What they didn’t confirm however is if gamers will be able to mix Japanese voices with English subtitles.

This may not sound like a big deal for many, but like I said before, there are some gamers out there that just can’t stand hearing their favorite character’s voice in another language. Especially when the English dub is a work of art.
