Driveclub has been serving as the Playstation 4’s poster boy in terms of what the console can do in the graphics department, and Evolution Studios wants every user to get a taste of the action, even if you don’t want to pay for it.
The developer has decided that they want to give gamers multiple purchase options. While the free PlayStation Plus version will have every game mode and feature, it will be missing a few cars and tracks that the “complete package” Blu-ray version has. While no price points have been discussed, PS Plus players can expect to purchase those cars and tracks individually.
Evolution is serious about giving both casual and hardcore racers an equal shot at the game’s social aspects, like getting together with friends and creating or joining a racing club. Also, the friendly competition that comes with beating your friend’s best time on a track may just be enough to entice some gamers into spending the extra money on the game.
Driveclub will be available when the PS4 launches on Nov. 15.
