Barkley 2 Kickstarter successfully funded $120K+

Funding for Tales of Game’s Studios’ long-awaited Barkley: Shut Up and Jam Gaiden sequel closed yesterday, making it $120,335 richer.

The indie studio now effectively has more than three times the amount of its original $35,000 goal to put toward crafting The Magical Realms of Tír na nÓg: Escape from Necron 7 – Revenge of Cuchulainn: The Official Game of the Movie – Chapter 2 of the Hoopz Barkley SaGa.

This final funding goal puts the developer ahead of its $120,000 stretch goal which promises animated cutscenes. Its other successful stretch goals include a new dungeon called “Throat of Geolgothar,” New Game + mode, and forcing the developers to wear pants. That last one’s no small feat.

The game is currently set for a Dec. 2013 release. And if you still haven’t played through the original, the PC and Mac versions can be downloaded gratis on Tales of Game’s Studios’ website.
