A Monster Hunter theme park…only in Japan

Monster Hunter The Real 2014

It’s not often that a videogame gets its own exhibition. There may be the occasional videogame themed bar, but theme parks are usually reserved for movie-themed rides.

It’s a completely different story in Japan however. As it stands, Universal Studios Japan is having a Monster Hunter exhibition in celebration of the soon to be released Monster Hunter 4.

Complete with life-size villages, weapons, armor sets and monsters from the series, “Monster Hunter: The Real 2014″ will be held next spring where attendees can see a 20 meter long model of the Silver Rathalos and an animatronic Gold Rathian.

Capcom has collaborated with Universal before to bring Monster Hunter-themed exhibitions to their Japanese audience in 2011 and 2012, but next year’s exhibition is said to contain more content than ever.
