72-hour “Mega Manathon” for Child’s Play going on now

DSC00090

Although the first day of music and gaming festival MAGfest 11 has come to a close, the convention is still open for those who like to pull all-nighters filled with gaming and other festivities. For website Half Empty Energy Tank, however, this is no ordinary 24-hours-a-day gaming binge.

The site announced back in late December that a 72-hour Mega Man marathon would happen at the beginning of MAGfest 11, covering everything from Mega Man to Mega Man 10, the recent Street Fighter X Mega Man, the X series, and possibly Legends 1 and 2. This is running the full length of the festival, with all donations going straight to Child’s Play.

At the time of this writing, the donations are currently at $81. That number could definitely use some work, so if you want to contribute to a worthy cause and enjoy their livestream, head over to the marathon’s website.

And if you’re at MAGfest like me, give their booth a visit. You’ll find it at the end of the free console gaming area on the other side of the marketplace on the bottom-most floor.
